Paste PaletteThese terms are the agreement between you and Alongside Software, LLC for buying and using Paste Palette.
The license
A Paste Palette license is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription. It grants you a personal license to use the current major version of Paste Palette.
The license is for a single individual. It covers up to three Macs at a time that you use. You may move it to a new Mac by releasing an old one. Releasing frees that seat so another Mac can use it.
If you like what we make, we ask that you support our work by buying a license rather than sharing one beyond these limits.
What the license is not
The license does not let you share Paste Palette as a team, company, or classroom seat, or run it on more than three Macs at once under one purchase. It does not let you redistribute the app, rent it, sublicense it, or publish the license key. Alongside Software, LLC keeps ownership of Paste Palette. You are licensing use of it, not buying the software itself.
Payment
Alongside Software, LLC sells Paste Palette. Checkout runs on Stripe. Stripe is the merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles applicable sales tax or VAT, and sends the receipt. We never see your card details.
Refunds
Email hello@alongside.dev from the address you bought with within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you, no questions asked.
After a refund, the license stops working and Paste Palette returns to the same read-only state as after the trial. Your history on the Mac is not deleted.
Trial
The free trial lets you use Paste Palette for a limited time on that Mac. When the trial ends, capture and paste features that require a license stop until you activate one. History already on the Mac is not deleted.
Activation and updates
Paste Palette limits outgoing network requests to license checks, and, if you enable them, automatic update checks. Clipboard contents are never part of those requests. Details are on the privacy page.
No warranty
Paste Palette is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not promise uninterrupted use, that every feature will meet your needs, or that the software is free of defects.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Alongside Software, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages arising from Paste Palette. For any claim related to Paste Palette, our liability is at most the price you paid for the license.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies. Continued use of Paste Palette after a change means you accept the updated terms.
